For over two hundred years, the conventional method to roast coffee beans relied on blasting drums and conveyor belts with high heat flames resulting in uneven areas and scorching.
Infrared roasting uses radiated (Infrared) heat that gently permeates the coffee beans, evenly roasting them and completely eliminating the burnt or bitter taste that conventionally roasted coffees have. The process also maintains the antioxidant properties of the beans and the lower pH level makes our coffee less acidic. We can also perfectly control the desired caramelization (color specification) and roasting consistency of the beans with our Infrared process.
